Gauteng province of South Africa

Although Gauteng is the smallest of the nine South African province in terms of land size, it is the economic powerhouse of South Africa and the Gauteng province generates the highest property transfers per year in terms of national property sales .

Johannesburg, also known as Egoli -"place of gold", is the capital of Gauteng. Johannesburg offers a variety of real estate opportunities with property in Sandton, Bryanston, Fourways, Lonehill and property in Midrand. Gauteng also has significant agricultural land providing fruit, vegetables, dairy products and meat to the cities as well as areas where maize, groundnuts, sunflowers, cotton and sorghum are grown.
 
Like themost of the interior of the eastern parts of South Africa this is a summer rainfall area. Summers are hot and winters frosty but dry.
